GEELONG JUNIOR OPEN 2013

Saturday June 8, starting 2 p.m.

Courthouse Arts Centre, 1^ST floor cnr Gheringhap and Lt Malop Sts.

Restricted to under 15 years of age.

Five round swiss allegro. Time limit 10 minutes per player.

Book prize for the top three male and female players.

Entry fee $10 per person.

Entries close on the 3rd June 2013.

Chess Victoria Inter Club

Chess Victoria is proposing a regional based inter club competition suggesting that Geelong is matched with Ballarat, Bendigo and Warnambool. When more information becomes available they will be posted on the web.

Invitation to enter team event

The Geelong Chess Club had been invited to enter a team in the Allegro Chess Team competition part of the three day Hungerofest. The event takes place on the 23rd February. A team consists of four members preferably one member being under the age of 14. Time limit is 15 minutes each. Cost per head is $30. The event will be held at 760 Boronia Road Wantirna. Registration is between 10:00 to 10:30 am.

Alternatively if your rating is below 1900 you may wish to enter a simultaneous against Andras Troth, International Master.
