A keen field of 35 players contested the Victorian Country Championship, held in Geelong on 14th and 15th October, 2017.
Geelong Chess Club President Geoffrey Gill (pictured right) shared first place with Ballarat’s James Watson, with an undefeated score of 5/6.
Geelong’s Kingsley Chung scored 3.5 points to take out equal first place with Chris Bradley in the Reserves section. Rod Hessing and Geoff Barber likewise joined the Reserves Prizelist on 3 points.
